It was a beautifully overcast morning when we arrived at the Nature Friends Lodge. After over a year of careful preparation, including hand crafting most of their wedding decor and creating an impeccably organized timeline, the day had finally arrived. The time leading up to this one very important day was not free of last minute drama, but one thing remained constant; Meg and Dash were ready to finally become husband and wife. As we entered the room where Meg was getting ready, I noticed a sense of calm about her, but also a sense of focus. All the preparation and anticipation had finally culminated in this one moment in time, and Meg was ready to experience all of it.
Meg and Dash, I am incredibly lucky to have met the both of you and especially, to have had the honor of photographing one of the most important days in your life together. Your wedding day was nothing short of incredible and I found myself tearing up at multiple points during the day. The emotions and the love you feel for each other is palpable and I have no doubt that your future together is going to be amazing. Thank you again for choosing me as your photographer and letting me join in your epic dance party!
I have so many favorite moments from the day, including the moment right after Meg finished getting ready. Emotions were high and I could tell the rest of the day would follow suit.
During the wedding planning process, Meg and Dash decided that they wanted to do a first look, which meant that they would see each other for the first time before the ceremony. This allowed them to spend quality time together that day and ensured that they had plenty of time for portraits together. The moments after Dash saw Megan for the first time will forever be etched in my memory.
They stood there for a few minutes, holding each other tightly and refusing to let go. When I describe their love as palpable, this is what I mean. 
Before the ceremony, Megan let me know that she was going to surprise Dash by saying her vows in American Sign Language.
This is the moment right before she began her vows. 
Dash isn’t one to show a lot of emotion, but he couldn’t hold them back in this moment. Neither could anyone else. 
Meg and Dash were practically floating after the ceremony. They both couldn’t stop smiling!
